    Turbo Rebuild are proud to offer our reconditioned Hella electronic actuators, either on an exchange basis or a repair to your own unit

    With our many years experience in fault finding and repair of this type of part, we are able to supply the perfect repair to you faulty turbo actuator.

    If you are experiencing limp mode issues with diagnostic equipment showing the electronic actuator is at fault (we recommend the linkage is removed and the bearing housings VNT lever is tested to be free from restriction) then this is now a simple fix with our remanufactured electronic actuators.


    Where required our reconditioned actuators include:

    • Full cleaning of all components
    • New worm gear
    • New Motor
    • Testing and repair to electronics


    All units are then bench tested for operation and to make sure working parameters meet the OE specifications.

    All of our remanufactured electronic actuators come complete with 12 months warranty, new mounting bolts and new securing circlip.


    How it works

    We offer 2 options to repair your Hella electronic Turbo Actuator

    Option 1 Exchange: Our exchange service keeps downtime to a minimum.  After payment, we dispatch a reworked in-house unit (typically 1-2 days dispatch) to your address. This allows you to remove the damaged unit and replace with our reconditioned unit straight away, keeping you off the road for the minimum amount of time and preventing having garage storage charges. From order to delivery is typically 3-5 working days. This service incurs a £100 surcharge. This surcharge is refunded once the old unit is returned.

    Option 2 Repair: Our repair service is to rework your own supplied faulty actuator. Once purchased, you would need to remove and send your unit to us to recondition. Upon arrival, we will fully recondition your unit, test and then return. This service takes, including delivery, 5-7 working days. There is no surcharge.


    NOTE: This service is to supply a reconditioned electronic actuator.  Diagnosing the actuator to be at fault is your own responsibility. As the electronic actuator is the only part of the turbocharger that can talk to the engine ECU, a fault code stating the actuator being faulty may not always be the case. Old unit must be returned within 30 days of purchase and must be complete and have matching "G Number" to that of part ordered.

    Possible causes for "actuator fault" fault codes can include

    • Damage/wear to the VNT (nozzle ring)
    • Sticking VNT (nozzle ring)
    • Blocked diesel particulate filter (DPF)
    • Faulty exhaust pressure sensor
    • Damage to Turbocharger turbine wheel (foreign object ingestion)
    • Electrical issues (short circuit of other engine sensor on same engine loom) 
    • Worn Turbocharger
