The nozzle ring assembly, also known as variable vane assembly, is the latest control of shaft speed / boost pressure. The nozzle ring is a ring of vanes which are moved by the wastegate actuator to divert the flow of exhaust gases through the turbine shaft & wheel to alter shaft speed. Precision made, these components must be in perfect condition to ensure the turbo performs as expected. They are often damaged due to excessive bearing clearances, resulting in the turbine wheel coming into contact with the vanes. Our nozzle rings are of OE quality and are finished in a highly polished state to ensure carbon cannot stick to the assembly causing sticking vanes.
